A twelve-hour certificate program designed for consultant recertification and for general CE. There is a four-hour pre-course home study component matched with an eight-hour live Zoom presentation (October 24, 2026)

About the Program

This course is about what happens when humans encounter fungi, mold, fungal products and water-damaged environments—and what the position of the pharmacist should be.

The instruction will teach you how to interpret evidence, using an evidence-graded process rather than rely solely on an organization’s opinion. Yet this pharmacist clinician educator will share his traditional and non-traditional experiences of diagnosing and healing infected (mold and fungi) patients and take you through a mold infected home cleanup process while addressing the role of the pharmacist.

Fungi as decomposers, mycelium versus fruiting body, spores, yeasts, molds, mushrooms, fungal reproduction, fungi's role in nutrient cycling, fungi in agriculture, fermentation, antibiotics, food, medicinal mushrooms.

Completion of both the home study and the live zoom components will provide 12 hours for consultant recertification. This twelve-hour program will utilize an evidence-informed clinical approach.

Program Goal

The presentations for this conference will be presented live, through our NSU Zoom platform. The goal of this program is to provide attendees with the most current traditional and non-traditional healthcare knowledge and methods that address the most appropriate fungi issues of the day.

Target Audience

This activity was planned and designed for pharmacy practitioners (consultants and general continuing education) who have an interest in a comprehensive program that addresses Fungi/Mold patient care issues (diagnosis and treatment) as well as homecare issues and how they are impacting families. Fungi/Mold is a healthcare educational area that does not show up on many professional school curriculums, yet a worldwide warning was recently issued by the WHO regarding future warnings. Healthcare providers as pharmacists need to become better patient advocates, they need to make better clinical evaluations for those who encounter mold toxicity. Pharmacists need to know how to recognize fungi and mold infections in their patients and initiate action. This program will provide the scope of the disease and what actions can be taken.

Fees

The registration fee for this 12-hour program is $210 for pharmacists

Refund Policy

A refund can be requested in an email format (to carsten@nova.edu) prior to Saturday, October 24, 2026. Your registration fee less $10.00 will be credited to the same card.

Accreditation

Nova Southeastern University Barry & Judy Silverman College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of Continuing Pharmacy Education.

This program is approved for 12.0 contract hours (1.2 CEUs) of continuing pharmacy education credits. UAN: 0092-0000-026-029-HO1-P, 0092-0000-026-o30-LO1-P. This is a Knowledge Based activity.

For pharmacists to obtain course credit they must register for the course, provide an e-mail identity (chat) at the beginning of Saturday when coming into the classroom on Zoom, take any pre and post-tests, answer the evaluation requests and fill out the Certification of Participation that acknowledges (attestation) their credits being requested. Also, correct ePID#s and Birth Month and Birth Days must be provided.

The provider (NSU College of Pharmacy) will post all successful credits by October 27, 2026. Participants are responsible for confirming that their credits are posted. NABP allows sixty days to have all credits posted and verified. Therefore, your credits must be verified by the participant no later than December 20, 2026.

Note: The Provider (NSU College of Pharmacy) cannot post any credits for you for this program after December 22, 2026.

For the State of Florida this program has been approved for General CE credits (12) for pharmacists. Consultant Re-Certification credits have been requested. Consultants can achieve up to 12 recertification hours as approved.

NSU College of Pharmacy, will report all earned continuing pharmacy education (CPE) credits for this program to CE Broker for the home study and for those participants who attend the live presentation hours for which they have requested credit, be actively engaged via chat, e-mail, or live interaction, take any pre and post-tests, complete and submit the course evaluations for Saturday as well as submitting the Certification of Participation (the document that you request your hours of attendance and your signature attestation. Participants must also provide their correct license numbers (PS, PU).

The provider (NSU College of Pharmacy) will post all successful credits by October 27, 2026. Participants are responsible for confirming that their credits are posted. The Florida Board of Pharmacy allows thirty days after a program’s completion for providers as NSU to post all credits. Pharmacists should verify (in their CE Broker profiles) their credits earned no later than November 24, 2026.

Note: The Florida Board of Pharmacy will not allow NSU College of Pharmacy to post your credits for this program after November 24.
