What is SharkRX for a Day - Student Shadow Program?

SharkRX for a Day - Student Shadow Visit Program is an opportunity for high school juniors, seniors, and college students to connect with faculty and students in NSU's Barry and Judy Silverman College of Pharmacy and engage in various activities related to the field.

What will you experience?

SharkRX for a Day - Student Shadow Visit Program will provide students the opportunity to shadow a current NSU ambassador, attend classes, student organization meetings, and experience a day in the life of a current pharmacy student. The shadow experiences will take place during the availability of the pharmacy student with the following schedule:

Who should apply?
  • Students who have not yet been admitted to a Pharm.D. Program and are either current undergraduate students or have completed their undergraduate coursework and are interested in pursuing a career in pharmacy
    • It is highly recommended that applicants have taken undergraduate level coursework in biology, chemistry, and/or anatomy & physiology
  • High school juniors and/or seniors

Program cost: Free. All students will be responsible for their own transportation to and from NSU COP. An excused absence letter can be provided and documented permission will be requested from high school counselor, parent and/or professors.

When will it take place: Upon the successful submission of your application, our dedicated team will promptly contact you via telephone to communicate the upcoming available dates, along with corresponding specific times.
