Dr. Riskin is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of the Patient Care Management Laboratories at Nova Southeastern University College of Pharmacy (NSU-COP), Department of Pharmacy Practice. Dr. Riskin received her B.S. in Liberal Arts and Sciences (Psychology) from the University of Florida in 1998 and her Pharm.D. from NSU-COP in 2003. She completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at Baptist Hospital of Miami in 2004, with concentration in Academia and Critical Care. She earned her BCPS in 2008.


Dr. Riskin held positions as Central Charge Pharmacist at Shands Jacksonville (Jacksonville, FL) from 2004 to 2005 and Pharmacy Clinical Operations Manager at Bethesda Memorial Hospital (Boynton Beach, FL) until 2011. Dr. Riskin made a career change into Academia in 2011 when she began at NSU-COP. Her practice site was Cleveland Clinic Florida (Weston, FL) from 2011 - 2014 where she developed a student orientation program and offered rotations in Internal Medicine, Drug Information, Medication Safety, and Transitional Care.


As Laboratory Director, Dr. Riskin oversees the structure and content of the practice laboratory courses, and additionally coordinates 2nd and 3rd year labs. Dr. Riskin also oversees a longitudinal innovation project (PharmaCon) and event and coordinates the associated course, Pharmacy Seminar for 3rd year students. In addition, Dr. Riskin lectures on various Pharmacotherapy topics.


Dr. Riskin is active involved in many college committees including Assessment, Curriculum, Teaching Certificate, and APPE Readiness. She co-advises the Student Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists and is co-Grand Council Deputy to Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity Delta Rho Chapter and is the Director for the ITALICSRx Teaching and Learning Certificate Program. She has been an active member of multiple professional organizations, including the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists, and Florida Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (Southeast Chapter).
