Dr. Chris Lynch (’97) joined the faculty at Barry & Judy Silverman College of Pharmacy
in November 2020 as an assistant professor within the Sociobehavioral and Administrative Pharmacy Department. His focus is primarily on teaching within the Leadership and Professional Development
course series in the Doctor of Pharmacy program, and also in the Master of Science
in Pharmaceutical Affairs program. Dr. Lynch is also the Vice-Chair of the college's Development Committee and a member
of the Curriculum Committee.
Dr. Lynch is a very experienced leader and pharmacist who has served in a multitude
of staffing and clinical pharmacist positions, as well as leadership, management,
and education and training roles throughout his long and distinguished military career
in the United States Navy. Since his retirement from active-duty service, he has gained
even more experience working in the VA Healthcare System and in pharmacy academia.
In addition to earning his Doctor of Pharmacy degree, Dr. Lynch also earned a Master
of Educational Leadership degree and is a Diplomate of the ASHP Foundation’s Pharmacy
Leadership Academy. Throughout his military career, Dr. Lynch received numerous awards and decorations for his dedicated service and accomplishments, and he was
also recognized in 2015 with the NSU Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award from the
College of Pharmacy.
Dr. Lynch is a very engaged faculty member and alumnus who thoroughly enjoys interacting with students, faculty and staff with the goal of helping them become better versions of themselves both
professionally and personally. Dr. Lynch has enjoyed contributing and watching the university and college of pharmacy evolve and hopes to continue to do
so for many more years to come.
Dr. Lynch’s research interests are in healthcare and pharmacy leadership, well-being, professional development, personality awareness, team building, innovation, ethical behavior and other topics that contribute to the advancement of pharmacy practice.
