Colón-Pratts Frances M., Pharm. D. Clinical Assistant Professor Pharmacy Practice Department College of Pharmacy Ponce; Puerto Rico Frances M. Colón Pratts, graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Science Campus, School of Pharmacy on June 2006, with a Pharm D. degree. On September 2010, she joined the faculty of NOVA Southeastern University, Ponce Campus as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Pharmacy Practice Department. She offers Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Services and Pharmaceutical Care, especially those patients with diabetes, hypertension and dislipidemias, in an ambulatory clinic at Walgreens Pharmacy in Ponce, PR. She currently serves as a preceptor for pharmacy student on their fourth year, offering an Advance Experiential Rotations on Ambulatory Care.
Dr. Colón provides didactic lectures to second and third-year year pharmacy students
in the Pharmacotherapy Course, and serves as a facilitator for the Patient Care Management
Laboratory in the Puerto Rico Site. Her areas of interest include diabetes, medication
therapy management (MTM), self-care and over the counter (OTC) medication. She is
an active member of the Puerto Rico Pharmacist Association Nomination and Elections
Committee, member of the American Pharmacist Association (APhA), and advisor of the
APhA-Academy of Student Pharmacist Chapter of the Puerto Rico Site.
