Drug Information Center (Puerto Rico)
Nova Southeastern University College of Pharmacy maintains a fully comprehensive Drug Information Center in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Additionally, the center serves as advanced pharmacy practice experience (APPE) training site for students from the College of Pharmacy.
Drug Information Center's mission is to educate pharmacy students in the practice of drug information; and to serve the academic, public and health care communities through the provision of objective, unbiased, evidence-based information to ensure optimal care and outcomes for our patients, and for the advancement of the profession through research, informatics and scholarship. Our innovative drug information services will create a distinguished and respected resource for the College of Pharmacy and the community we serve.
Scope of Practice
Drug Information Center answers questions regarding general drug dosing, foreign drug identification, domestic drug identification, adverse effects, drug interactions, alternative medicine, and pharmacy law.
Hours of Operation / Phone Number
The Drug Information Center is generally open from Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The center is closed weekends and holidays.
