Vision: To be a preeminent College of Pharmacy that cultivates leadership, innovation, and diversity in education, practice, research, and service to advance the health and well-being of our communities.
Mission: To educate and develop inclusive leaders in the science and practice of pharmacy who will improve health through discovery, innovation, advocacy, and the delivery of optimal patient care.
Building upon our outstanding reputation for pharmacy education, the NSU's Barry and Judy Silverman College of Pharmacy is ready to transform the profession of pharmacy. As a member of a university renowned for innovation, we prepare graduates for patient-centered care, leadership, and lifelong learning.
The College is poised to advance global health care, joining top interprofessional health care organizations and professionals. We continue to increase our positive impact on health care by providing the education, training, research, and services that distinguish us as a preeminent college of pharmacy. Through local, national, and global partnerships, we provide platforms to advance pharmacy education programming.
Our alumni play many critical roles within the College - returning to share their knowledge and expertise in the classroom, mentoring students, providing training at IPPE and APPE sites, sponsoring scholarships, providing internship opportunities, and much more. Our alumni provide the support and involvement critical in executing our mission and helping us continue to develop the nation's most promising graduates for roles as future leaders in global health care.
To achieve our mission and vision we need your input on what we can do to improve our connection with you and help to enhance your career after graduation. Our alumni help us to maintain our traditions and reputation. As we continue to move forward, here are some initiatives already in place:
- partnership with the Miami Dolphins offering alumni the opportunity to attend games at the Hard Rock Stadium and network;
- alumni reunions in Puerto Rico and Fort Lauderdale/Davie;
- providing new and emerging career opportunities for our alumni;
- Alumni Discounts at major hotels, cars, travel, and much more.
