Nova Southeastern University now has a Student National Pharmaceutical Association Chapter (Feb/08)

SNPhA is an educational service association of pharmacy students who are concerned about health related issues, the poor minority representation in pharmacy and other health-related professions. The purpose of SNPhA is to plan, organize, coordinate and execute programs geared toward the
improvement for the health, educational, and social environment of the community.
At Nova Southeastern University’s College of Pharmacy, SNPhA chapter we will develop professionalism by utilizing classroom knowledge and reaching out into the community. Communication with patients on understanding their healthcare issues will help students develop interpersonal skills needed for their future profession. By reaching out to the patients, students will gain crucial one on one experience. From these interactions, patients will benefit by understanding their healthcare needs while students expose them to the diversity with the pharmacy field.  SNPhA will also be going to undergraduate classes generating interest in the pharmacy profession. Mock PCATs and study materials will be given to those who are interested.
