ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF PHARMACEUTICAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE SCIENCES

The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the College of Pharmacy at Nova Southeastern University invites applications for faculty positions in the areas of Pharmaceutics. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. and at least one year postdoctoral experience in pharmaceutics. Priority will be given to candidates with extramural funding and research experience in the areas of drug delivery, drug transport, or pharmacogenetics/pharmacogenomics. The successful candidate will be expected to teach in the professional/graduate program in the area of drug delivery or biopharmaceutics.

In addition to above mentioned qualification the candidates must possess a strong commitment for achieving excellence in teaching and scholarship. A strong willingness to involve pharmacy students in research activities in the Department is essential. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are expected. Successful candidates are expected to establish a strong research program, participate in graduate education and obtain extramural funding. While this position is at the assistant professor level, other ranks will be considered.

Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include TIAA-CREF retirement plan, medical and dental insurance, disability benefits, life insurance and tuition waiver for dependents attending Nova Southeastern University. The College of Pharmacy is located within a multi disciplinary health profession division complex of the main campus, near the suburban Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The College offers both entry level and postgraduate Pharm. D.
