Background
Nova Southeastern University College of Pharmacy maintains two, state of the art, fully comprehensive Drug Information Centers (DIC) in Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, Florida. Additionally, the centers serve as clerkship training sites for students at the College of Pharmacy.

Mission
To educate pharmacy students in the practice of drug information, serve the academic community through the provision of objective, unbiased, evidence-based information on a variety of pharmacy topics, ensure the best pharmaceutical care for our patients, and advance the profession of pharmacy through research and scholarship.

Hours of Operation / Phone Numbers
The Drug Information Centers are open from Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The centers are closed weekends and holidays. The Centers welcome calls from Healthcare providers and the community in our academic domain. The DIC phone numbers are (954) 262-3103 and (561) 622-0658.

Scope of Practice
Nova Southeastern University Drug Information Centers answer questions regarding drug product selection, dosing, foreign drugs, adverse effects, drug interactions, alternative medicine, tablet identification, pharmacy law, and other aspects involving drug use. Additionally, formulary support, research assistance, and legal consultation are available on a consult basis. Please contact the Drug Information Centers for additional information.

The Centers publish a weekly news update and a monthly newsletter covering timely and relevant pharmacy practice issues.

Staff
The Centers are staffed by licensed pharmacists with specialized training in Drug Information and advanced College of Pharmacy students.

The Center in Fort Lauderdale is managed by, Matthew J. Seamon, Pharm.D. and can be reached at 954-262-3103.

The Center in West Palm Beach is managed by Kevin A. Clauson, Pharm.D. and can be reached at 561-622-0658.
