Background
Nova Southeastern University College of Pharmacy maintains two, state of the art, fully comprehensive Drug Information Centers (DIC) in Fort Lauderdale and Ponce , Puerto Rico . Additionally, the centers serve as advanced pharmacy practice experience (APPE) training sites for students at the College of Pharmacy .

To educate pharmacy students in the practice of drug information; and to serve the academic, public and health care communities through the provision of objective, unbiased, evidence-based information to ensure optimal care and outcomes for our patients, and for the advancement of the profession through research, informatics and scholarship.

Our innovative drug information services in the areas of public health, pharmacy law, and informatics will create a distinguished and respected resource for the College of Pharmacy , the Health Professions Colleges and the community we serve.
Hours of Operation / Phone Numbers
The Drug Information Centers are generally open from Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The centers are closed weekends and holidays. The Centers welcome calls from Healthcare providers and the community in our academic domain. The DIC phone numbers are (954) 262-3103 ( Davie , Ft. Lauderdale ), and 787-841-2000 Ext 2433 ( Ponce , Puerto Rico ).
Scope of Practice
Nova Southeastern University Drug Information Centers answer questions regarding general drug dosing, foreign drug identification, domestic drug identification, adverse effects, drug interactions, alternative medicine, and pharmacy law (retrieval of Florida statutes and codes). Staff
The Centers are staffed by licensed pharmacists with specialized training in Drug Information, Residents, and advanced College of Pharmacy students.
