| Program Goal |

| The goal of this program is to address the knowledge and skills needs of Florida pharmacists aspiring to become consultant pharmacist practitioners as set forth in the Consultant Pharmacist Education Requirements within Florida Regulation 64B and Chapter 465 of the Florida Statutes. |

| Learning Objectives |
- describe the professional responsibilities required of a Florida licensed consultant pharmacist.
- understand the administrative responsibilities required of a Florida licensed consultant pharmacist.
- understand the level of skills and knowledge necessary to function as the consultant of record.
- identify professional resources, as mandated by law, that are necessary to maintain a consultant pharmacy practice.
- understand the destruction processes involved with controlled substances within the various licensed facilities.
- develop a policy and procedures manual for the various consultant practices.
- describe the licensing requirements for the various consultant practices.
- identify the most important issues involving violations in past inspections of consultant pharmacist practices.
- describe proper storage system techniques involved with in medication management.
- perform a mini mental status exam.
- design a CQI plan (drug delivery and patient care) for a practice site.
