Dr. Banchs-Sandoval owns and operates Farmacia El Tuque in Ponce, Puerto Rico for the past 20 years and is a President of Servi-Farma, Inc.  She is a member of the Board of Director of the Puerto Rico Cancer & Health Foundationa and directs their fund raising campaigns.  She is also a member Puerto Rico Pharmacy Owners Association and the American Diabetes Association.
Dr. Banch-Sandoval has given back to her community by serving as president of the Puerto Rico Cancer and Health Foundation.  Since 2001, she has worked with NSU’s College of Pharmacy Early Clerkship Experiences with pharmacy tech students and Pharm.D. candidates.   Dr. Banchs-Sandoval received the 1993 the Innovative Pharmacist Award from Dupont, the Ceiba Award for commerce from The Ponce and South Chamber of Commerce, and the 2006 Bowl of Hygeia from Wyeth /Ayerst for the community dedication and the collaboration with the profession.  Dr. Banchs-Sandoval loves to read, cook, is a wine lover and a good gardener especially for Bonsai.
