Transfer Students
Circumstances may warrant that a student enrolled in one pharmacy college seeks to transfer to another institution. Any individual wishing to transfer to Nova Southeastern University College of Pharmacy must:
- Make a formal application to the NSU College of Pharmacy Office of Admissions
- Meet admissions requirements to NSU College of Pharmacy-including submitting official transcripts of all college work (including pharmacy transcripts)
- Be interviewed
- be in good standing at the transferring institution, as documented by a letter from the dean of the transferring institution
- Supply a written statement outlining the reasons for requesting a transfer
Decisions on transfer applications are made by the Dean. The decision will be based on factors which include, but are not limited to: academic record, circumstances leading to the transfer request, available space, and admission standards.
Student entering the College of Pharmacy with an advanced standing may be given credit for courses which are applicable to the courses outlined in the curriculum of the College of Pharmacy.
The Dean's Office will evaluate the courses and determine appropriate credits. The program, however, must be completed in seven calendar years. A minimum of 16 credit hours of didactic course work and minimum of five clerkships must be completed at Nova Southeastern University.
